1.1 Account Information (Firebase Authentication)

Meal2Shop uses Firebase Authentication to handle sign-in securely. Firebase may collect and store:

• Your email address
• Your unique Firebase user ID (UID)
• Account creation date
• Last sign-in date

We do not store your password on our own servers and we do not have access to it.

1.2 Data Stored on Our Servers

To provide the core features of Meal2Shop, we store certain app data securely on our servers and link it to your user UID. This can include:

• Meals and recipes (titles, emoji, ingredients, recipe text)
• Meal planner entries and schedule
• Shopping lists and shopping history, including items, quantities and prices
• Item price entries (units, pack sizes, prices, and associated stores)
• Store layouts and aisles that you create for different supermarkets
• Flags relating to premium access, subscriptions or recipe packs (if used)

1.3 Device Information

When you use the app, we may automatically collect limited technical information, such as:

• Device model and operating system version
• App version
• Anonymous identifiers (for example, an advertising ID if ads are used)
• IP address (used by hosting, security tools and certain third-party services)

1.4 Usage, Analytics & Crash Data

A future version of Meal2Shop may use analytics and crash reporting tools, such as:

• Firebase Analytics (for anonymised usage statistics)
• Firebase Crashlytics (to understand and fix crashes)

1.5 Advertising Data (AdMob – Future)

A future version of Meal2Shop may include advertising, for example via Google AdMob.

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your account and keep you signed in
• Store and sync your meals, planner, prices and shopping history
• Estimate your shop total based on your saved item prices
• Improve the app's reliability, performance and user experience
• Provide support when you contact us
• Manage subscriptions and premium access via Apple's StoreKit
• Show ads (in future versions) and measure basic ad performance

If you are in the UK or the EU, we rely on the following legal bases under data protection law:

• Contract: To provide the app and its features you've chosen to use
• Legitimate interests: To maintain and improve the app, prevent abuse and secure our services
• Consent: For optional features such as certain analytics, notifications or personalised advertising (where applicable)

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with:

• Service providers such as hosting providers, Firebase, and analytics or crash reporting tools
• Apple for in-app purchases and subscriptions via StoreKit
• Advertising partners (for example, Google AdMob) if and when ads are enabled
• Authorities if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public

We keep your data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the app's features. If you request account deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise your personal data.

• Correcting inaccurate or incomplete data
• Requesting deletion of your data
• Objecting to or restricting certain types of processing

Meal2Shop is designed for adults and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
